Frequently Asked Questions
Below you will find our helpful advice on using the Asiatic Trade Portal and answers to the most common questions we get asked.
If you have a question that you cannot fin the answer to please use our chat assistant during working hours, or our contact us page.
How to find a product?
On every page you will find the main navigational menu. The main options are All Rugs / Our Collections / New Arrivals / Colour / Style / Catalogues. These allow you to view in different ways. You can also use the search bar at the top of the website if you specifically know what you're looking for.
When you're in a category listing pager there are handy filters on the left that will allow you to filter by different options, such as:
- Categories - Which means different Ranges.
- Main Colour - Our main colour categories.
- Rug Size - Pick one or multiple rug size groups. A full rug size guide can be found here.
- Shape - Which shapes the Range is available in
- Pattern/Material/Technique – These are further product attributes you can filter by. These need to be expanded with the + sign to see all option.
All the above can be combined to help you find specific things you might be interested in.
If you chose a specific Range, then the screen will simply be prefiltered to that Range (The example below being a Range called Amelie). You can still add further filters if needed.
How to place an order?
When you are logged in there are 3 options to add items to your basket, Quick Order Entry in your account dashboard, Add to bag via Search or Product detail pages, and via your saved items in your favourites. Once you have items in your basket, simply click on the basket in the top left and then click view your items. Once you proceed to checkout you can add a Customer reference no, a requested delivery date, any comments, change to one of your addresses on our system and if your account allows add a one off delivery address.
If you have a credit account, you will be able to place an order without paying for it. (if you are proforma customers you will have to pay by credit card for us to accept your order. You will also only be able order items that are in stock).
The only thing left is to accept our Terms & Conditions/Returns policy by ticking the box and hitting the Place Order Now button.
You will be shown our thankyou page which shows you the following details including a web reference number. Please note that your order will be confirmed in a separate email which will show you an official order number and stock allocation. your will see a link to your account in the top left of the page.
How to check Stock?
When you are logged in your will see a link to your account in the top left of the page. Once on the account dashboard page you will see a link for "stock reports" which will take you to up to date stock information.
How to view your Order and Shipment History?
When you are logged in your will see a link to your account in the top left of the page. Once on the account dashboard page you will see “order history” which will take you to your full account order history, whether you have placed the order on the trade portl or by other means.
How to view your Aged Debt and/or pay your invoices?
When you are logged in your will see a link to your account in the top left of the page. Once on the account dashboard page you will see “view and pay invoices”.
How to contact us?
You have several options to contact us so can choose which best suits you. In the footer of the Asiatic Trade Portal are our telephone number and email address available at all times. You also have the chat window on the site which is manned by our customer service team during working hours.
Can I save favourites?
The short answer is, yes! When you are on a product you need frequently or wish to come back to another time you can click the heart icon next to the SKU details on the product page and it will save it in your favourites for another time. To get to your favourites list you simply select the heart icon at the top on the website or choose “favourites” on the account dashboard when you are logged in.
How to track delivery of live orders?
When you are logged in your will see a link to your account in the top left of the page. Once on the account dashboard page you will see “shipment tracking” and from here you can get your tracking links.
How to view your latest catalogues?
We keep these as a link in our navigation for you to easily find and enjoy.
